SPINOBI
Spinobi The Fader Fatalatist is name that older heads should recognize from the dj crew Immortal Fader Fyters. Competing in local dj battles in the mid- late 90s such as the Beat Junkies "Represent" , Mainstream's Import Showoff, Fat Beats, DMC, Guitar Center, Astro's and many other dj competions. Releasing his first mixtape in 98 "Special Blends Fat Feats & Correct Technics" along with fellow crew members Still Wil & Aslan. In May 2000 the entire crew was featured on the compilation Deep Concentration 3 the track "Immortality" with production from Spinobi & Aslan. Their first single on Om Records a limited 2 vinyl pressing.
Later that year Spinobi was passed the torch to one the highlights of his dj career by his predecessor Kid W.i.k. crew member and also former dj of Ozomatli. Joining the hard working band allowed him to constantly tour the globe from Europe to Australia. Performing events any where from the Glastonbury Festival to Fuji Rock. Travels expanding around the continents making radio and t.v. appearances such as The Conan O'brien Show to Late Night with Jay Leno. Remaining Ozo's dj for nearly 7 years recording on 3 albums, Ep, a live dvd and other side projects. In late 2006 Spinobi left to persue personal projects. For the next couple of years he worked with the Serendipity Project a band out of Santa Clara. Which led to touring and becoming the back up band for hip hop legends Del the Funky Homosapien and Hieroplyphics.
Since then he has kept busy recording mixtapes "Breakbone Fever," and "Vile Motiff," Was part of the group Forgotten Science with members producer Short Term the Crate Worm and emcee Kingsley Mannasa a former member of Epsilon Project which happens to be the group for turntable comrade Dj Xist. Who has collaborated with Spinobi on the "Break For Recess" Series. Currently in the studio with the band Shoddy Cons preparing an album for 2012 an mixing at clubs around the L.A. area.
